Join Beth Moore in an in-depth and very personal examination of this great story of threat and deliverance. She peels back the layers of history and shows how very contemporary and applicable the story of Esther is to our lives. If you’ve ever felt inadequate, threatened, or pushed into situations that seemed overpowering, this is the study for you. Just as it was tough being a woman in Esther’s day, it’s touch today. This portion of God’s Word contains treasures to aid us in our hurried, harried, and pressured lives.
First Saturday of each month we visit our friends at Sunrise Senior Living from 2:00-3:30pm, offering tea time for the first hour, followed by some singing and a devotional or small Bible study.
Preparing Home Baskets for the Gathering Place February 13, 2010, 1:00-3:00pm
The Gathering Place exists to support women and their children who are experiencing homelessness or poverty by providing a safe daytime refuge and resources for self-sufficiency. It is Denver’s only daytime drop-in center for women and children who are experiencing homelessness and poverty. Their emergency support services provide immediate relief to women and children in distress.
We will be collecting pans, mixing bowls, silverware, towels, cleaning supplies, etc. and creating gift baskets for single moms who are just moving to a new place on their own. We’ll collect items in advance so we can put baskets together that day.
