MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a growing ministry at Family in Christ that seeks to minister to mothers within our church community and also the surrounding community.

The MOPS group here at Family in Christ meets every first and third Thursday of the month, September through May. Our goal is to have every mother who is pregnant or has children age 5 and under come and experience authenticity, growing friendships, support, love and community so that they can be the best mom possible. We are dedicated to encouraging, equipping and developing every mother of preschoolers to realize her own potential as a woman, mother and leader in the name of Jesus Christ.

MOPS International exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be!

Serving Opportunities:

• MOPS Program Coordinator – Leads the Steering Team and coordinates the MOPS ministry. Acts as the liaison between MOPS International and the local MOPS group. Organizes speakers, plans programs for meetings and creates cohesiveness within the group.
• Discussion Group Leader–A member of the Steering Team who leads intimate small group discussions during MOPS meetings so as to foster closer and more authentic relationships.
• MOPS Mentor – A mature woman (mother) who mentors MOPS women by listening, encouraging, and offering godly perspectives.
• Finance Team Leader – Manages the finances and budget for the group and assists with fundraising.
• Hospitality Team Leader – Creates a welcoming atmosphere, organizes refreshments for meetings and special events, acknowledges special occasions within the group (ie: birthdays, anniversaries, births) and assists with special needs.
• Creative Activities Team Leader – Leads a team that organizes, plans, and teaches crafts and creative activities that encourage creativity.
• Publicity Team Leader – Publicizes and promotes MOPS to the community.
• Prayer Team–Prays for entire MOPS group collectively and individually, as requested and on an ongoing basis. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding prayers.
• MOPPETS Team Leader – Oversees the MOPPETS children’s ministry, selects and implements classroom curriculum, and recruits, train and support MOPPET workers.
