Get Involved: Student Ministries

This ministry is organized into two groups for High School and Middle School, each offering appropriate curriculum and activities. This past year, this ministry has participated in the Dare 2 Share Event, a Winter Retreat, Operation Christmas Child, and a short term mission trip. 

 

Serving Opportunities:

  • Drama Team Leader –Help select skits and dramas for weekday youth group, retreats, and fundraisers. Lead/participate in drama team meetings and help students learn their parts. Organize and minister to a team of students to participate in these activities.
  • High School Weekday Leader –Attend once a week youth group and mentor a group of High School students. This involves greeting them, having fun with them, leading discussions with them, and being involved in their life outside of the church. This position also requires attendance of monthly training/communication meetings.
  • Middle School Weekday Leader –Attend once a week youth group and mentor a group of Middle School students. This involves greeting them, having fun with them, leading discussions with them, and being involved in their life outside of the church. This position also requires attendance of monthly training/communication meetings.
  • Sunday Morning Group LeaderRead provided curriculum prior to Sunday mornings and lead a group of students through the weekly bible study. This position also requires attendance of monthly training/communication meetings held Sundays after late service.
  • Missions Coordinator –Select, coordinate and publicize service projects for students to participate in both during the youth group and on special days. Maintain and organize our communications and donations to our Compassion child. Organize and minister to a team of students to assist in these activities.
  • Special Events Group Leader –Participate in special weekend events like Dare2Share, Winter Retreat and Battle of the Bands as a leader of a group of students. Group leaders do some of the following activities depending on the event: driving, chaperoning, leading discussions, and organizing activities.
  • Treasurer –Gather, record, and track funds received for various youth events and fundraisers.
  • Video/Graphics Specialist –Plan and assemble video projects, slide shows and other graphics to help in teaching, lesson illustrations, promotion of events, and special presentations. Ideally, organize and minister to a team of students to assist in these activities.
