Philosophy of Worship

Core Values:

  • We exist to worship God and practice His presence. (Ephesians 1:12; Romans 12:1)
  • We are gifted, called, and set aside to lead in Worship. (Numbers 8:14-16a; I Peter 4:10)
  • We are a family committed to building one another up in Christ. (Hebrews 10:24)
  • We are a people of prayer. (Psalm 34:15)
  • We are called to excellence. (Colossians 3:23)
  • We are called to reach out to the lost. (Luke 19:10)
  • Unity within the music & worship ministry is essential. (Ephesians. 4:3; Matthew 18:15-20)
  • Authenticity of worship leaders is vital. (Matthew 15:8-9)

When it comes down to it – what does it look like? The good news is that exciting things are fermenting in worship that stretches across denominational lines and age barriers. The needs of the generations have a lot to do with this incredible union in worship. If we are maturing in Christ we will reproduce. This is the way it works with all healthy organizations that God has created! Our first responsibility is to see God glorified where we live. Secondly, imagine God moving the gospel throughout the North Denver region. Thirdly, we have a mandate to see the gospel spread to places and people groups that remain un-reached. Through the Music and Worship and other expressions of faith at this church and with other churches, God will reach the world! Reaching out requires translating the gospel into the culture and style, so that people can hear and respond to God’s story.
