Deployment and Discipleship Pastor

As Family In Christ Church (FIC) grows from an attractional ‘come and see’  church to a missional ‘go and tell’ church we are being led by God to create a new position. Our church mission is to create a growing, vibrant Christian community where each individual and family feels connected and empowered to fulfill their unique calling toward advancing God’s Kingdom beyond the walls of our church.
The Deployment and Discipleship Pastor, working under the direction of our Sr. Pastor, will be purposely focused on that mission. This position requires a heart for Jesus and a passion for seeing his People engaged and growing in their unique calling. This role will require the ability to seek out and mentor emerging leaders, connecting them with others, and training them to fulfill their God-given calling.
This role is a 32 hour/week position.  However, in our desire to follow to God’s direction, we are open to considering multiple individuals to fill this role if it means leveraging spiritual gifts all focused on the same goal.

Position Responsibilities:
 
Find and Mentor
  • Find and mentor emerging leaders so they can grow in their faith and fulfill their God-given calling
  • Train individuals to reach out to their network of friends and family increasing FIC’s impact
  • Mobilize members to fulfill their unique calling and advance God’s kingdom

Grow and Launch

  • Grow and train new Life Group leaders
  • Promote and launch new Life Groups
  • Develop and promote new adult classes including; Alpha, Parenting, Marriage Enrichment, Financial Stewardship

Organize and Deploy

  • Organize outreach opportunities in our larger community where our church families and groups can participate and invite non-believers to join in the effort
  • Promote Beyond the Walls opportunities to existing Life Groups and other ministries, such as MOPS, Holy Yoga, etc.
  • Create a team of individuals who develop and promote national and international mission service trips

Education: Associates Degree or equivalent relevant working experience.
 
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in mentoring individuals and in leading ministry groups; additional experience in a pastoral ministry preferred.
 
Salary: $30,000 to $40,000 /year (depends on experience)

Pastor of Worship Arts

The Pastor of Worship Arts at Family in Christ Community Church in Westminster, CO, is the leader of the worship arts ministry, which involves creating an environment where people have the opportunity to authentically and passionately worship and experience God. The Pastor of Worship Arts facilitates and leads a team of musicians in creating an environment where people can connect with God spiritually and with others relationally, and includes responsibility for planning the worship gatherings and overseeing the musical, artistic, and technical details of these services. This position requires a heart for Jesus and a heart for growing His church through humility and servant leadership of people through worship. This role will require constant pursuit of excellence both on and off stage, steady growth as a follower of Christ, shepherd of people, and musician/worship leader. In addition, this position will manage all the creative and technical elements of Family in Christ Community Church including media presentations, video production, technical needs, and marketing. This is a part-time position with the potential to be full-time for candidates who have the requisite technological expertise.

Position Responsibilities:
 
Weekly Worship
  • Meet regularly with the Lead Pastor and other ministry leaders to coordinate each aspect of worship services to ensure a focused and clear theme.
  • Vocal and instrumental leadership at weekly services and special events.
  • Provide vision, brainstorming, production management and implementation of creative ideas for use in the weekly services, ministry programs, website, mobile app, and social media.

Teamwork and Ministry Leadership

  • Oversee and direct weekly rehearsals, coordinating instrumental and vocal production, including choreography and staging of all music numbers.
  • Lead the worship teams in developing their spirituality and striving toward musical excellence.
  • Identify, train, equip, and delegate responsibility to worship team members.
  • Recruit, supervise and provide regular auditions for new instrumentalists and vocalists.
  • Build, oversee, and nurture teams for vocal, instrumental and special music.
  • Meet regularly with other ministry leaders to coordinate each aspect of the marketing, graphic designs and digital media outlets to ensure a focused and clear theme.

Technology (Preferred)

  • Provide leadership, training, and direction for the technical support ministries such as sound, video, light, and multimedia presentation teams.
  • Maintain quality, up-to-date website, mobile app, and social media platforms. Including weekly content and graphic reviews and updates.
  • Facilitate the planning and implementation of social media communication and marketing.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience leading a Worship Arts ministry or team, including worship leadership and administration, volunteer administration, vision casting, production development and implementation, and communications.
  • Ability to leverage spiritual gifts to successfully support the daily operations of a church body focused on drawing closer to and growing in relationship with God, encouraging and supporting those seeking a relationship with Him, and reaching out to those in our community, region, and world who have not heard or responded to the good news of Jesus Christ.
  • Experience bringing the unique gifts and talents of various individuals to accomplish a common goal.
  • Proficient on the piano/keyboard and/or guitar
  • Ability to humbly lead a team of volunteers
  • Strong organization, management, and leadership skills
  • Strong musical and technical communication skills
  • Comfortable being in front of people
  • Ability to laugh at yourself

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with production management of creative elements of a worship service including presentation multimedia, sound engineering, staging, lighting, video capture, editing, and post-production.
  • Experience with basic office information technology systems, applications, and networks.
  • Experience with soundboard technology
  • Experience with website development and maintenance, graphic design, social media communication, and marketing.
  • Experience with the following software or applications (Current programs noted):
    • Presentation Software: ProPresenter or MediaShout
    • Website Management: WordPress
    • Music Production/Recording: Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Ableton or MainStage
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent relevant working experience.
 
Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience leading worship in a similar church setting; additional experience in a pastoral ministry preferred.
 
Salary:$20,000 to $30,000 for part-time position, with potential for $45,000 – $60,000 for full-time (depending on qualifications)

Office Assistant

This position will work under the direction of our Office Manager and also direct and oversee the responsibilities of our volunteer receptionists. This is a part-time position (16 hours per week) with flexible hours to accommodate the office needs. The job responsibilities listed below could change as the needs of our growing staff changes.

Position Responsibilities:
 

Support to Office Staff

  • Help with correspondence, telephoning, maintaining/organizing office files and any other tasks that might be done to free them as much as possible allowing them to focus on their ministry planning and implementation. Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Office Manager.

Office Volunteers

  • Come along side of our volunteer receptionists as a contact person for their daily needs that could involve scheduling, training, recruiting, etc. Develop a procedure for handling visitors during office hours that creates an environment that is inviting to people passing through on a daily basis.

Church Events

  • Coordinate/assist with special/regular events as needed that would include recruiting volunteer help to cover all needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong computer skills are imperative in MS Windows including MS Office Programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, etc.).
  • Self-starter with minimal training/supervision and good at multi-tasking and prioritizing projects.
  • A commitment to confidentiality of personal information of the congregation and staff.
  • Strong organizational skills. Ability to organize and administer information.
  • Extreme attention to details with an eye for excellence and ability to follow through with details.
  • Passionate about the needs of the church with the willingness to seek new information, training, and resources as needed.

 

Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in an office environment supporting staff members
