Tai Chi/Chi Kung

Friday Afternoons

3:00 – 3:30pm

in the Church Activity Room

(on the West side of the building)

Thanks for your interest in Tai Chi. Please park in the rear of the church and after you enter make the first right and continue to the end of the hallway. The activity room is located to your right.
The Yang Style Short Form of Tai Chi will be taught. Chi Kung, which is the foundation to Tai Chi, will be our main workout since this exercises the internal organs, massages the muscles and ligaments, and adds vitality to your life. Then a move of Tai Chi will be introduced.
So what else is good about the program………
1. No requirement to memorize the moves.
2. You may attend as many or as few of the sessions as you would like.
3. You are not in competition with any one else.
4. Yang Tai Chi consists of slow movements, and I will work with you to modify the movements according to your ability.
5. I will do my best to make Tai Chi Kung fun, exciting and interesting
A wavier will be required prior to classes, so I would recommend that you check with your doctor prior to class.
Please be ready for class about ten to fifteen minutes prior to starting time as it will give you a chance to chat with your class mates, instructor, etc. Bare feet, sandals, or just wearing socks are not allowed. Please wear flat bottom shoes, sneakers or sneaker type shoes. Clothing should be very loose fitting.
Do some research on the benefits of Tai Chi and Chi Kung on Google etc. Always bring a smile to class to share with your class mates. Bring a friend or two if you wish.
See you in class!
