Our current sermon series:
The Book of James: A Community Made Whole
Becoming the people of God
“…that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” – James 1:4
James shows us what happens when God doesn’t just save individuals—He forms a people. And the people He forms look different: they’re steady in hardship, rooted in the Scriptures, quick to show mercy, careful with their words, and humble when they fall short.
James begins with suffering, reminding us that trials don’t mean God has abandoned us. In fact, He often uses them to grow us up. From there, James calls us to put the Word into practice, to treat every person with dignity, to watch our speech, and to walk with a humility that keeps us close to God and close to each other.
This series is an invitation to become a community that is whole—not perfect, but complete in the ways that matter most—so that our shared life points others to the One who is making us new.
