FIC Forward Congregational BBQ
On Sunday, August 24th, after the 10 am service, we will join together for a BBQ as a family. During this time:
We will affirm the Budget for 2025 - 2026
We will affirm the incoming Elders and Deacons
Pastor Mike will give a concrete vision for FIC’s future ministry efforts
Do not miss this important time of information, vision sharing, and community as a Family in Christ!
FIC Forward - Finances
We would like to share with you in advance some of the financial information we will be affirming that day in advance of the meeting.
Aaron Smith - FIC Executive Director
Thank you for your continued faithfulness to our church!
Weekly, our staff witnesses the commitment of God’s people at FIC to the important practice of stewardship, and this includes your time, talents, and treasures. This faithfulness is a source of fuel that continues to accomplish mighty things at FIC, and allows us, as a family in Christ, to daily live out our shared vision and mission.
While we do have the privilege of following God’s leading daily, our church has to navigate the financial realities that come with living out that mission and vision. We are pleased to report that our church is very healthy, maintains a secure financial footing, and continues to operate within budget limits.
As you will notice on the financial summary chart below, FIC has not spent more than it brought in. Our overall income (yellow line) did not exceed our expenses (green line). While it is true that our projected budget (blue line) for this year was a bit aggressive, our staff had to make cuts over the year that were necessary to operate within our financial means. This speaks to their faithfulness and stewardship of God’s provisions.
That, too, speaks to YOUR faithfulness and commitment to what God is doing at FIC. On behalf of our entire staff, we say THANK YOU!!!
As our church shifts toward a new fiscal year and preparing for our FIC Forward gathering on August 24th after the 10 am service, we also wanted to share the budget in advance of our meeting. You will find the projected budget below as well. This will provide you with the chance to review the numbers prior to the affirmation vote from the congregation.
If you have any questions please contact Aaron Smith at (303) 466-7770.
